Что произошло
Пожар начался после утечки на нефтепроводе мексиканской компании Pemex у побережья в районе города Сьюдад-дель-Кармен (штат Кампече). Огонь поднимался с глубины 78 метров.
По данным Pemex, потребовалось более пяти часов, чтобы полностью устранить возгорание. Сообщается, что в результате инцидента никто не пострадал. Сейчас в компании выясняют причины возгорания.
The ocean is on fire in the Gulf of Mexico and now boats are pulling up to use water to put it out.
Платформа, на которой произошло возгорание, работает в составе комплекса Ku Maloob Zaap. Это одно из крупнейших мексиканских месторождений, где добывают около 95 тысяч баррелей нефти в сутки.
