No idea what the stream said on the matter, but I doubt you’d be able to «trade» for more.
Disable ‘Block Limits’ in the advanced world settings.
Look video and at 0:58 we can read in the text trade PCU (limits)
Text creates the feeling of = we can trade it.
Video create the feeling of = just with more faction members.
I think its currently only over more members and teamwork = more PCU and not trade.
Combine it with other faction-members seems to be currently the only way to become more. ^^ I thought the same. But I think there is no trade option inside. Stream-Info and Video-Infos and we become a wrong feeling on this.
I wasn’t able to find an untick block limit in the settings? Was it removed?
Hi there is a new server option made to disable/enable, they added that option because there was too much complaints about players going over the PCU limit.
Just go to world advanced setting to disable the PCU limit or ask the server admin to disable it.
I recommend to create a new forum discussion because +3 months old ones get locked, some may/will contain false information so better avoid the old discussions.

Sure people’s playstyles will adjust. Then they will rapidly get bored with what they have ajusted to and the game will die.
Performance Cost Unit. Every block has been assigned a PCU price tag. I imagine that this is a replacement to the blocklimit, as it stunt the size of your build, if you desire spending all your PCUs on rotors/pistons.

So is it sort of like filling the build bar on a Fallout 4 base where different stuff takes a different ammount of the bar based on how performance hungry it is?
That sounds like a good alternative to block limits as it would stop people spamming certain types of blocks in there build. Im guessing stuff like welders would have a very high value. Might save server admins setting up seperate counts for each block type.
PS Some way to turn it off would be good

I hope they don’t pretend that limiting the game is as good as fixing it.
Hmm, I disagree a bit, Karma and Lystent; block limits were useful for the contests (and exploration submissions) because it was a limit on blocks specifically, which was what was asked of in those cases—I hope it doesn’t replace it entirely.

привет всем!у меня такая проблема,давненько не запускал игру,но когда только купил,в меню можно было моды ставить,заходил во вкладку новая игра,там можно было мир настроить,Моды поставить и тд. Но теперь,когда зашел через годик,смотрю,а во вкладке новая игра,нету никаких вкладок с модами и вкладки загрузить мир с подписки!помогите пожалуйста,тупо все эти вкладки исчезли,а еще не могу выбрать между творческий режим и режим выживания,просто не нажимается ничего,помогите пожалуйста,Кто с таким сталкивался!

Здравствуйте, 28.07.2018 играл с компаньоном в своём мире. после чего он залил мир в воркшоп, а я зашел уже без него туда.
ПРОБЛЕМА С КАМЕРОЙ ОТ 1 ЛИЦА
камера устремлена в небо и двигается только в вертикальной плоскости, немного вниз, немного вверх. кнопки движения работают, вижу по гироскопу, что бегаю, смотря в облака.
от 3го лица камера работает штатно, как можно исправить:?
помогите, люди добрые, быть может кто-то сталкивался с данной проблемой?
Детектор руды имеет определенный радиус действия, и в принципе дальше 250 метров (для детектора большого корабля) не должен показывать.
150 метров для детектора малого корабля, и емнип 50 метров для бура.
Также вы можете видеть положение руд если корабль снабжён антенной, и в вашем скафандре антенна включена. Таким образом вы пешком можете точнее определить место где начинать бурить, чем сидя в кресле управления кораблём.
подскажите пожалуйста что делать, после последних двух обновлений у меня игра перестала воспринимать моды, и пропали старые сэйвы
Была такая же хрень. Игра запустилась, но ни модов, ни сохранёнок не было. На свмом деле моды и сохранёнки никуда не пропали. По какой-то неведомой мне причине игра создала новую пустую папку для профиля под номером 0 и, конечно, ничего в ней не нашла. Я перезапустил игру. Она перестала видеть стим, т.е. клиент работал, но игра писала, что стима нет. Закрыл игру, перезапустил сначала клиент стима,снова запустил игру и всё восстановилось.
Столкнулся с проблемой: в программируемом блоке отсутствуют кнопки редактирования и запуска скриптов. подскажите в чем может быть проблема.

So in case anyone’s interested I did a little experimenting to see what cost what in terms of PCU count. This might help people bring their PCU counts down if they’re worried about it. Now I didn’t test too thoroughly so I cannot say how accurate these numbers are under all conditions. I just spawned them in and then copy and pasted them one at a time to see what they were. Also I only checked large grid.
Doors = 115 each. This includes the sliding doors, the regular doors, and each individual airtight hangar door block it seems. This of course implies if you were going to use the latter for hangars, it’s going to be expensive in the PCU department.
Turrets = 115 each. Only checked gatlings. I would assume missile turrets are similar. If you’re heavily armed, it’s going to cost you.
Thrusters = 15 each. Cheaper than I expected. Only checked large hydro and large atmo, but I was already seeing a pattern that PCUs seem sorted by catagory more than individual blocks.
Modules and Armor = 1 each. Dirt cheap. I would assume a lot of purely static blocks are this.
Refineries and Reactors = 90 or so each I think? Not too bad.
Lights = Unknown, but a fair amount. I mount lights on my outer hulls for better visibility in dark conditions, but tried removing them and gained back like 2000 PCUs for only a few dozen lights so I think it’s one of the more expensive ones and that bothers me because I would like to be able to light up my interiors at least so I can see what I’m doing.
That’s all I checked. As far as I can tell lights, weapons, and doors of all things are performance hogs. Personally, I’m not very happy with this because a 100,000 PCU server wide limit is just too strict. I know this is just for optimal performance and I am free to disregard it at my own risk, but it would have been more reassuring if I knew the game was designed to handle better.
If anyone has more info, either corrections, circumstantial data, or just more, feel free to add it. It’s a good idea for people to know this stuff so they don’t have to guess.

Couple months later and I am beginning to think Keen needs to redo multiplayer from the ground up again focusing on Asynchronous coding. Seperate each game element to it’s own thread or threads so that a slow script wont effect sim speed a physics bottle neck will only lag out a local area of space instead of everyone on the server ETC multi thread EVERYTHING! (yes the game already has some MT support but the vast amount of server cores and resources still remain unused on high end hardware)
personally the default PCU has proven to be horribly detrimental to game play and destroys the possibility of creativity and mega builds which is what makes SE so much fun. Poor sim-speed is not what is killing SE its this ♥♥♥♥
Agreed, I started on one of the official servers last week, just before they were down for the weekend and in the 2 hours I was playing I built a large grid drill ship which was, other than the drills and 2 batteries and an arc furnace the same as the default respawn ship in terms of equipment as I was moving the parts out piece by piece.
I moved the reactor last and had a PCU limit reached warning as I tried to place it down on the new ship.
Had a few minutes of panic as my power ticked down and now no powered med bay as I grinded down as much as I could to get the reactor down.
Maybe if there were certain blocks that had 0 PCU cost for the first you own, like a medbay or power source.
As is its too restrictive.

But its not likely to happen ever at this point in devolpment. (Imagine if the time spent trying to code planets and the subsequent time spent fixing said planets was used into properly rebuilding MP and making survival a fun experience? the game would be perfect!)
