Багаж (Checked baggage) – крупногабаритный багаж, который перевозится в багажном отсеке самолета и сдается заранее на погрузку. Как и в случае с ручной кладью, здесь также имеются ограничения, описанные в правилах каждой авиакомпании. Впрочем, и эти ограничения на практике часто могут не соблюдаться (в разумных пределах).
Самые часто встречающиеся цифры ограничений – до 20 кг веса и до 160 см по сумме трех измерений багажа для эконом-класса и несколько увеличенный лимит (скажем, до 30 кг веса и до 200 см по сумме трех измерений) для бизнес-класса и первого класса.
Багаж, превышающий установленные габариты, не поместится на ленту транспортера при погрузке в багажный отсек самолета.
Однако в аэропортах часто можно видеть людей, везущих огромные баулы, коробки или целые платформы, доверху груженые сумками, которые явно не укладываются в этот лимит. Но и такой багаж пропускается при соблюдении определенных условий.
Дело в том, что авиакомпании рассчитывают описанные в правилах лимиты багажа исходя из возможностей по максимальной загрузке самолета. На практике получается так, что часть билетов на рейс не была выкуплена, а некоторые пассажиры летят без багажа.
Многие low cost авиакомпании предлагают купить право провоза сверхлимитного багажа. В частности, это практикуется авиакомпаниями, которые работают по маршрутам, связанным с зимним туризмом. Самый распространенный багаж в этом случае – комплекты горных лыж, которые всегда превышают ограничения по габаритам. Авиакомпании пользуются этим и предлагают фиксированные цены за провоз горнолыжного инвентаря в дополнение к стоимости авиабилетов.
Если это не горные лыжи, а просто крупногабаритный и тяжелый груз, то вам предложат доплатить за его провоз. Тарифы варьируются от авиакомпании к авиакомпании. От 5 до 25 евро за 1 кг сверх лимита у европейских дискаунтеров.
Сверхлимитный багаж – это обыденное явление. Некоторые авиакомпании предлагают оформить такой багаж сразу при покупке билета на своих сайтах. Другими словами, вы просто пишите, сколько у вас с собой будет багажа, а система выдаст вам сумму к доплате. Информация об оплаченном багаже будет включена в ваш электронный билет, который необходимо предъявить на стойке регистрации в аэропорту.
Специальный багаж. Здесь нужно иметь в виду, что бывают разновидности предметов, которые принимаются к перевозке бесплатно. Например, костыли и инвалидные коляски. Авиакомпании обязаны принимать на борт пассажиров-инвалидов с необходимыми для них средствами передвижения. Для этого в самолетах даже предусмотрены специальные места для них. А на сайтах авиакомпаний предусмотрены специальные пункты в меню бронирования билетов, которые необходимо отметить тем, кто покупает билеты. Таким образом, авиакомпания уведомляется, что на данном рейсе будет лететь человек с ограниченными возможностями. В свою очередь пассажиры с инвалидными колясками должны гарантировать, что их медицинское оборудование полностью складывается. Нескладывающиеся и неразборные крупногабаритные предметы медицинского оборудования могут просто не войти в люк самолета и, соответственно, не могут быть приняты к перевозке в салоне самолета.
Упоминаемые выше лыжи также являются разновидностью специального багажа. Из этой же серии можно вспомнить оборудование для подводного плавания, инвентарь для гольфа, велосипеды и т.п. За них тоже придется платить.
